High-speed permanent magnet generator is directly coupled to a gas turbine turbine that allows hybrid electric vehicle to be charged from any heat source. Therefore, electricity is generated from waste heat by placing such module on the vehicle, thus increasing fuel economy and reducing emissions. Direct drive electric motors do not need any external gearbox, belt-pulley or torque-speed converter.
